A completed design does not always mean a product can be manufactured in its current state, particularly for custom fabricated steel products.
These often move from the design stage to a fabrication design stage, where the designer and fabricator work together to resolve any conflicts between the initial design and the fabrication process used to build it.
RJ Machine Works provides design and drafting in-house. Our drafters and designers take your concept and develop it into a buildable, certifiable product, using advanced tools and keeping the work under one roof.

SHOP DRAWINGS & DRAFTING
Our drafters consult the engineered drawings for a project, interpret them, and create the detailed shop drawings the fabrication team builds from. These drawings specify the location and detail of every component in the structure — beams, braces, joists, trusses, and columns — where total accuracy is essential.
Shop drawings typically include material and surface specifications, component dimensions, and details relating to welding, painting, and bolting.

Custom Engineering & Development
The RJ Machine Works design division provides a complete range of services for industrial fabrication projects, from initial conceptual evaluation through front-end design, detailed design, procurement, fabrication, installation, pre-commissioning, startup, commissioning, and functional safety assessment.
We also develop custom solutions to improve efficiency, increase equipment productivity, and upgrade or re-manufacture metal parts.
